Merging Product and Texture Photos with GPT
In my opinion, this is a really cool technique.
You’ll need two images:
– The first one should show the shape of your object. I used product photos we created for our clients.
– The second image should contain the texture — what you want your object to be made of.
You can find these images online or download them from stock photo websites. I downloaded the texture images from stock platforms.
The photos I used:
Go to chatgpt.com, start a new chat, click the plus icon, and upload two photos.
Copy this prompt:
"I will upload two images:
Image 1: a bottle of vodka (the main subject)
Image 2: cranberries (texture reference)
Please generate a new image where the shape and outline of the vodka bottle from Image 1 is clearly visible, but instead of a regular bottle surface, the entire form is made of tightly packed cranberries, as if the bottle is entirely covered or constructed from them. The cranberries should follow the shape and form of the bottle, keeping it recognizable.
The background should stay the same as on the first image. Keep aspect ratio from the photo with the bottle."
Replace the words in bold with ones that match your photos.
If you want to make any changes to the result, you can ask for it to be done.
If you're not satisfied with the result even after several generations, try changing the texture reference image.
